Mindful Monday: Enthusiasm

Hello my beautiful magical people!

I seriously cannot  believe that it is Monday again so soon. Where has the time gone? I think because I’ve worked the last two Saturdays and then we’ve missed going to church on Sundays that my weekends are all thrown off. But this is the final week before Christmas, so it’s obviously going to be a bit crazy. I know last week definitely was a lot more than I bargained for.

Goals and Plans from Last Week

  • Stay focused on the writing projects that I can do during the day.
  • Finish reading through Donovan’s Quest.
  • Shop for car insurance.
  • Finish the Christmas shopping.
  • Eat somewhat healthy.
  • Visit my horse twice.
  • Get back on track with my online course.
  • Stay calm and relaxed through the craziness.

I ended up feeling pretty sick for a few days, and then it rained near the end of the week again, so I didn’t get to go see my horse at all last week. This week hopefully is different – no rain that I’m aware of and the sun has been out drying the ground. Plus I feel loads better.

The Christmas shopping… I really have to get that done, and I’m hopefully going to finish that before Monday is over. I’m kind of panicking now, to be honest!

Other than that, I managed to stay reasonably productive and focused all week. I was pretty tired and slept a lot, but everything went mostly according to plan.

Goals and Plans for This Week

  • Actually finish the Christmas shopping!
  • Buy the car insurance that we shopped for.
  • Make Christmas cookies.
  • Cook dinner at least 4 nights out of the week.
  • Figure out the ending and the plot holes in Donovan’s Quest.
  • Plan out my 2019 goals.
  • Visit my horse twice.
  • Enjoy my time with friends and family.

Tuesday night we have our monthly social dance that I’m pretty excited about going to. Saturday night I’m attending a concert in the metroplex with a bunch of my girlfriends – also super exciting! And Sunday I’ll be helping out my church with their Christmas choir. It’ll be a busy week, but I’m just trying to stay calm and relaxed. It’ll be good!

Looking Ahead…

…to Christmas and the upcoming new year! I always get excited and giddy when this time of year comes around because I love to plan. I love New Year’s resolutions and all the excitement that comes with the goals, the fresh start, just everything about it! I’ve got a pretty solid list of goals and plans for 2019 right now, and the best part is that they are all totally possible. Most of them are just natural progressions of everything that I’ve already been working on in my life, so everything should work out pretty well. The Husband and I have some bigger personal goals that we’re hoping to achieve in the next year, all of which are super exciting. It’s all uphill from here, right? I certainly hope so.

I’ll be scaling back the goals next Monday, but I’ll still post something. We’ll see what happens!

All the love and kindness in the world!
