Mindful Monday: Pressure

Hello beautiful magical people!

Hopefully this Monday is treating you well so far!  I didn’t do a second post last week so it’s been seven whole days since I’ve posted on here. That actually feels a bit odd this time around, almost as though I missed posting!

I’m having to make some lifestyle changes right now and it’s feeling like a whole lot of pressure on me. I know it’s really not as crazy or difficult as I think it is, but we all know I have an anxious tendency, so I put more pressure on myself than I really need to. I guess I just like to make my life more difficult than it is.

Previously Mentioned

  • Track down some sheet music and books. Sadly, nope. Which is still frustrating.
  • Get myself over to the DPS office. Yep, all taken care of!
  • Visit my horse at least once. Again nope. I had more important things on my agenda.
  • Organize my bookshelves. Started, but not nearly completed.
  • Stick to the dinner menu I made. Sure enough! Not perfect, but hugely better!
  • Make measurable progress on the world building project. Yes! I’m right on track.
  • Look at homes for sale in our area. I did this a little bit, but not much.
  • Get back into a regular routine. It turns out my routine needs changing, but we’re getting there.
  • Come up with new things to ease the seasonal depression. So far, not much. Eeesh.

This past week was a bit of a mess. There were things that happened in my personal life that just pulled my attention away, and for good reason. The depression was better, but the anxiety was worse, so that’s something to work on. More or less, my routine is back in order, so that makes me feel better. And I got a fair bit of writing done, which is encouraging.

Up and Coming

  • Make my planned extra bill payments.
  • Adjust to the life changes I’m making.
  • Visit my horse once.
  • Handwrite a letter.
  • Finish a short story.
  • Get back on social media!
  • Cut back drastically on my caffeine intake.

I’m feeling rather apprehensive about this new week. Hopefully it’s easier than I think it will be, but we’ll just have to wait and see, won’t we?

What are your plans for this week?

Love and kindness,

Katharine Marie
