Mindful Monday: Fun

Hello lovely readers! It’s Monday again!

I had a mostly lazy weekend. I spent the majority of Saturday parked in front of the tv watching the live-stream of the 3-day equestrian event that was happening in Kentucky. Of course, all that did was make me start window-shopping for my next horse that I would be able to compete with and that I definitely can’t afford to buy right now. But it was loads of fun regardless! And then somehow our Sunday revolved completely around the Avengers: Endgame movie, which was actually remarkably good.

Last week was mostly good with a bit of emotional fun mixed in. I got a LOT of work done on my Nanowrimo project and I succeeded in drinking so much more water than I probably ever have before in a single week of my life. So that was all very good.

This week, I’m not going to make a list of things to do. I’m off work for the next two weeks and we fly out this Thursday, so I have my fair share of house cleaning and vacation prep to do in the next three days. It’s going to be a great week!

What I’m… Enjoying… Reading… Recommending…

I’m just combining all the other segments this week since I don’t have quite as much content at the moment and all my time has been spent either planning our vacation or working on my Nanowrimo project. Y’all can forgive me, right?!

I actually kind of want to try making this violet syrup from one of my favorite blogs, Reading My Tea Leaves. It seems a lot simpler than other recipes and I adore the violet flavor so I may have to get out there and collect some flowers.

There are SO. MANY. FLAVORS. in this citrus avocado salad and I just absolutely LOVE it. The avocado is actually not my most favorite part of it, but it still works somehow. Definitely worth a try!

Since I love following blogs in all my different areas of interest, and now I’ve started looking at a few parenting/family blogs and the one I’m browsing right now is A Mom’s Take, which has so many different ideas on a bunch of different subjects. Definitely worth looking at.

Until next time!

Love and kindness,

Katharine Marie
