Mindful Monday: Fireworks

Hello beautiful wonderful people!

It’s time for another one of our Mindful Monday posts – a roundup of things I’m currently into, some current goals, and some mini updates on my personal life.

At the moment I’m working on what feels like a hundred projects all at once so it’s been a bit overwhelming, but I also feel quite refreshed after a pretty nice weekend. One of the local small towns had their fireworks on Saturday evening which was a lot of fun to go see. I also did some shopping for the baby and made some great headway with my business work.

Since Last Time…

I can’t say that I’ve been walking or stretching or doing anything active at all lately and I know that needs to change. Granted it’s also been nearly 100 degrees outside and pregnant me handles the heat even worse than non-pregnant me did. I love my air conditioning!

But besides not being particularly active, I’ve definitely been cooking more often – and enjoying it! As long as I keep a reasonable amount of groceries in the house I do a lot better about making dinner every night. Plus I’m able to take my lunch to work with me more often. It works out great!

Camp Nanowrimo starts today, so I’ve spent the last couple of weeks working on my idea for it. I’ve got a LOT on my plate writing-wise at the moment, but I’m hopeful that everything works out this month!

I’m now most definitely in my third trimester and to start things off, Baby A decided to have a growth spurt over the past week. I’ve been very sore and uncomfortable but she’s also gotten ridiculously active and it never stops exciting me when she moves around.

Coming Up Next…
  • Independence Day celebrations, including a probably day trip to Oklahoma.
  • My birthday is coming up and I have a fun weekend away planned for that!
  • Obviously, Camp Nanowrimo! 50,000 words and 31 days – here we come!
  • Journaling, every day!
  • Hard-core searching for a new place to rent.
  • Setting up our baby registries.
What I’m Reading…

What blog post caught my eye?

Oof. I found a really good one this morning and while it’s a bit of a rough read, it’s well worth it. If you’ve ever struggled with depression, you should probably check it out. That’s all I really have to say – just see what you think.

What book am I currently reading?

I’m currently on a bit of a romance kick on my phone app, but one of my July goals is to read two books from my shelf that I haven’t read before. I’ll be honest and say that I haven’t actually picked one out yet… guess what I’m doing first thing when I get home from work tonight!

What I’m Thinking About…

What issue has been preoccupying my thoughts?

I’ve had a lot on my mind lately, but one of the biggest ones is the stress of moving. We have exactly two months left at our current place so trying to find a new place to live is definitely at the top of the list. I’ve been a bit worried about whether I’ll have enough energy to pack everything up or whether I’ll have to rely on other people to help me out. It’ll all work out, I’m sure, but regardless it’s been a relentless thought process.

What’s coming up soon for my online platform?

As we should all know by now, I officially launched my freelance business, so I’ve been changing up a lot of things. There’s my new website, the rebranded social media pages, and more consistent content in all those areas. Exciting!

What do I really want to buy right now?

I want to buy basically anything baby-related. It seems like a lot of the panic has dissipated and now I’m just obsessed with getting everything that I could possibly need – not that I’m getting everything though… that would be crazy!

What thing in the future am I pre-planning in my head?

Again… the moving! And the baby… at this point, those are the two things that occupy almost every possible space in my head.

Now it’s your turn! How are things going in your life?? Let me know!

Sending you love and kindness!
