The Happy Moments

Hello beautiful dreamers!
August has been a long month, just like 2020 has been a long year. There’s been a lot of hard days for me personally, but it hasn’t been all bad. There are still plenty of positives to focus on. Since I dealt with a lot of the more negative aspects during the rest of the month, this week is for happier things.

Being a mom, being needed 24/7 – its hard work and exhausting. But the Tiny Princess likes to give hugs now and every time she does, it makes my day so much better. All the hard work is worth it no matter what, of course, but nothing beats being snuggled by a little person who thinks you are her entire world. It’s the best.
Well, almost the best. My other favorite thing is when The Best Husband gets home from work. He always walks through the door with the biggest smile on his face, always so happy to see the kiddo and I. I can’t even quite describe why exactly, but I live to see that smile.
Besides my little family though, one of my favorite things to do is spend time with my horse. I’ve had my current horse for almost 13 years now, so getting on for a ride is one of the most natural things. It feels like home if that makes sense. Wandering around the fields with her is one of the most relaxing things I do. Even though I haven’t been able to ride as much this summer (stupid Texas heat), it’s still something I try to do as regularly as possible because it always makes me happier.
And when nothing else works, there’s always dance parties. Right now, the Tiny Princess loves the song “bad guy”, by Billie Eilish, so anytime either of us is feeling a bit out of sorts during the day, I can put on the song or music video and we have a dance party in the living room. It puts both of us in a good mood, almost like a reset.
What were your happy moments this month? 🙂

Love, light, and kindness,
