A Recap

Hello, my wonderful readers,
It’s been a couple of weeks since my last post and although I’ve been too preoccupied to worry about it, I noticed as soon as I opened up my writing program that I had missed this. It’s therapeutic to write about things sometimes and since I’ve been too busy to really write at all, even in my journals, this is great.
The week before last, I was dealing with some major migraines that just would. not. leave. I hadn’t had that happen in quite a while, so I guess it was overdue. In reality, I need to see my chiropractor more often because chasing a toddler is more draining than you might think.
Then last week I had two teeth removed, including a wisdom tooth, which of course set me up for a few days of recovery time. I spent almost three days exclusively on the couch, watching way too much tv, and the Tiny Princess got away with way too much during that time.
Thankfully, this week has been much smoother. I feel good enough to actually parent my own kid and while at first, she appreciated it, she isn’t so pleased now. It’s slightly amusing how angry she gets when I won’t let her fall off the bookshelf or when I repeatedly tell her not to hit the cats. Poor kitties put up with a lot from her.
Basically, October has been the month of not doing very much, enjoying most of it, recuperating, and despite those three things, feeling very busy all the time. I definitely didn’t write as much as I was planning to, but I’m okay with that. When I was planning the month out, I wanted to keep things as quiet and calm as I could, and while it wasn’t perfect, this was definitely one of my better months. Yay for little things, right?
I’m already looking forward to November, but I’m not going to write about it until next week. Looking ahead is not always fun, but when the holidays are coming up, that makes it a little bit better. (Can you tell I’m avoiding the election? LOL)
Hopefully, everyone has a fantastic Halloween and you’re all getting ready for winter. I’m totally ready to hibernate at this point. If I lived somewhere with a lot of snow, I would absolutely hibernate every year. Stock up on food, surround myself with hot drinks and just stay inside all winter long. Perks of working from home, right?

All my love, and lots of light as we head into what will be a difficult week for everyone in the States. Stay safe and please, PLEASE. BE. KIND.
