Projects and Life

Hello beautiful creatures,

Did you notice the design changes? Did you? I’m quite proud of the direction all my little updates are going. Obviously there’s a lot of changes that still have to take place and I debated with myself about not posting until I had everything fixed just right, but honestly, when in life do we ever have things fixed up just the way we want them?

We just have to keep figuring it out as we go along, so that’s what I’m doing here. I don’t have the time to do it all in one day, or even one week, so small amounts of progress at a time is where we’ll stay for right now.

This week is a bit quieter at home after a slightly hectic Easter weekend. I’m mentally preparing myself for next week when all my final projects for this school term are due though.

On top of making updates to the website, I’ve also been busy behind the scenes sketching out new, more targeted blog posts. A story for another day, but I am slowly transitioning towards being a full-time paid writer and editor, and neglecting this little internet corner isn’t something I can take lightly.

Life coming out of a pandemic (hopefully we’re coming out) is weird for me. It’s exciting, yes, but my social anxiety was very happy to stay at home in my happy places. So the adjustment period is going to be longer for me. And that’s okay. Therapy helps, and I’m trying a new medication that seems to be helping? Too soon to tell. Some days, like today, I am optimistic that the world is going to be okay. Other days, I can barely hold it together. Anxiety isn’t a good friend, I have to say.

Today I am working out the kinks on the “About” page, and I have a question for you.

What is one sentence, or even just four words, that you would use to describe yourself? Think of it as an elevator pitch for you. I want to know!
