Hi everyone!

I’ve missed writing for the blog over the last month. I was doing so much work behind the scenes and the house-buying process went absolutely haywire. In trying to deal with all that, I also fell behind on schoolwork, which is why I’m not 100% back to normal yet. Also, what’s normal?

Two weeks ago today we finally closed on our house and spent the next week moving in. I’m still surrounded by unpacked boxes and I have a list of projects a mile long that I need to get to, plus I’m behind on the blogging stuff that I wanted to have done by now. But last week was focused on catching up with schoolwork. Gotta keep my GPA up, especially this close to graduation! Now I’m getting back to a slightly more reasonable schedule. Hopefully.

Even though Texas has been clinging to spring (including some ridiculous amounts of rain), there’s something about June that has me ready for summer. I’m ready to have some fun and enjoy being outside more.

Because of all the afore-mentioned stuff going on, it’s been stressful in my head and I’ve slipped back into a lot of dissociation and bad coping habits. I don’t have a full or focused post to write here about that, so today we’re just gonna do a mini post.

Here is a random list of things that I’m currently doing!

Right now, I am…

Anticipating the end of what I’m dubbing the semester of hell.

Choosing themes and décor ideas for each room of the new house!

Creating some fun treats for you guys! Coming soon!

Eating so much chocolate. And ice cream. Way too much.

Excited about Billie Eilish’s new album coming out this summer! The sound is going to be impeccable.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed by my TBR list. So many books!

Inspired by the awesome people in my fiction writing class right now.

Listening to Sour, Olivia Rodrigo’s new album. What else would I be listening to?

Loving this new character named Wilder that I just created for a short story. They’ve given me so many cool ideas already!

Noticing  what triggers me when my parenting slips across the line from respectful to reactive.

Organizing all my bookshelves!

Planning a trip to the zoo with a toddler!

Reading “The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue,” by V.E. Schwab.

Searching for a mental health diagnosis. I’m only sort of kidding.

Thinking about all the unpacked/half unpacked boxes around my house.

Wanting a vacation, quite honestly. Please?

Watching the last four Harry Potter movies for once in my life. Don’t judge me.

So tell me, what have you been up to lately? What are you reading, or excited for, feeling right now? I wanna know!

Here’s to a great month! Be who you are and be proud.
