Hello beautiful souls,

As much as I want to keep the blog current all the time, things are going to be sporadic for quite some time yet. I’m doing so many things that I love, but this season is so ridiculously hard. Adaline just turned two last week and apparently this development stage comes with a lot of tantrums. She’s doing her best though, and so am I, and that’s what matters… I think.

I’m in my fourth week of class in my final term at SNHU – in just over a month, I will finally have my Bachelor’s degree. It’s a little surreal, but mostly just exciting. The stressful part comes because I’m now neck-deep in the torture that is job hunting. The job market in my industry is highly competitive, I still struggle to be confident in what I am able to do, and job applications are just plain stressful anyways. The hope is that I’ll be able to find something before graduation, but we shall see. For a world still dealing with a pandemic, there’s an awful lot of companies who are still insisting on office work! But that’s beside the point. Any good vibes, prayers, etc. that y’all want to send my way would be appreciated because I genuinely, honestly want to work in the book publishing field. I’ve had just a taste of the work at this point and I know for a FACT that this is my career path. This is what I want to do with my life. 100% positive.

Adaline took her sweet time deciding whether she wanted to actually talk or not, but suddenly she knows ALL of the words. She knows her shapes, her colors, animals, people, foods, even a couple of numbers and letters. This last week she started calling our cats by their names and it is freaking hilarious to watch her walk around the house calling for them. I know she’s having dreams and remembering them because she will wake up talking passionately about something very random (the other day it was a bee, another day it was cars). She loves acting things out, pretend playing, and eating all the things she should not be eating. Her birthday party was lots of fun, although she did get a little overwhelmed here and there because she doesn’t really know very many people and takes a while to warm up to anyone besides us and my parents.

I mentioned cats – the new one has settled in quite nicely. The Best Husband and the kiddo picked her out at the local shelter and she has been dubbed “Abby,” short for Abaddon, Knight of Hell. She has given my other cat a run for his money from day one, so she’s definitely living up to the name, but she’s also adorable and sweet and lots of fun to have around.

I know I said that I won’t be able to be consistently posting for a while yet, but I do have thoughts I want to talk about over the next few weeks: how I come up with ideas for my stories, stuff about ADHD, fall, job searching, and more! I love blogging and always have a HUGE assortment of ideas for posts, but finding the time to make them happen continues to be the struggle. Maybe soon though!

All my love, and go follow my Instagram, please! I lack motivation, but I do want to start posting more regularly on there.
